ProGear 300LS Elliptical Machine Review

Everyone all around the world is different. Some like cars, some like motorbikes, for some people their favourite colour is blue, for others red can’t be beaten. The world would be a very boring place if everybody liked the same things so it is a good job that there are these differences, and there is nowhere these differences are more pronounced than in the world of exercise and exercise machines. Everybody has a preference here to, as there are a lot of people who enjoy going to the gym to lift some weights and let off steam, but nowadays there are just as many people who prefer to workout at home and do things at there own pace. Today we are going to be looking at those who prefer to work out in the comfort of their own home, and more specifically at those who use elliptical machines to do so. The machine in question today is the ProGear 300XL so lets take a look!

What features does it have?

Most elliptical machines have an awful lot of features in them and the ProGear follows this pattern as well. The first of these features is the relatively large weight capacity of the machine. It can cater for a user who weighs up to 275lbs, so most people will be able to use the machine without much fuss. The ProGear has a 14 inch stride length which is also backwards compatible, so you will really be able to workout hard, and the larger pedal construction not only prevents slipping, but it also makes the whole exercise process very easy on the knees. The most important and impressive feature that the ProGear has is the heart rate monitor which can help you stay within your target heart rate zone.

Tell me about the good points

The heart rate monitor is a very handy tool to have on any exercise machine as it will tell you if you are pushing yourself too hard, or not pushing yourself hard enough. It could very well be the difference between a good and a bad workout. Something else this elliptical has that other don’t is transporter wheels which make moving it around your home a lot easier than it otherwise would have been. It is also a fairly compact machine, only measuring 33 x 19 x 46 inches, so keeping it in any room in the house will not be an issue.

What’s bad about it?

Some of the people who had previously owned the ProGear have complained that the individual parts are not of the highest build quality. They have stated that parts have sheared or fallen off after even light use which is not good for a new machine. This is however likely to be an issue with only a small minority of machines and not a flaw across the board.

Conclusion

If you want something that is simple yet still jam packed with enough features to keep you entertained for a long time then the ProGear could be the machine for you. It will help you to get in shape easily and it is perfect for tracking your progress on your fitness journey too!
